What is worship at the Presbyterian Church of the Apostles?
In its simplest form, it is a gathering together as a community of faith to surround ourselves with the
magnificence of the Spirit who moves and dwells with us. Each week we engage God together through the
Biblical story, traditional and postmodern and traditional liturgy, excellent music, creative drama and
prayers of our people.
Our worship services begin at 10:30am on Sunday mornings during the program year and are a blend of contemporary and
traditional styles. They include thought provoking sermons, moving music, and other forms of
artistic expression. We use inclusive language that welcomes and values all people. We enjoy the
marvelous talent of our organist, pianist and at the same time rejoice with drums and guitars.
At other times we offer more contemplative worship opportunities.
All are welcome to stay to stay for worship. An engaging children's sermon is always a part of our morning.
Young children may stay or participate in KAT (Children's Activity Time).
Nursery Care for children under 3 years of age is available during worship all year round.
Special Services during the year include an intergenerational/children's Christmas Program, Christmas Eve ,
Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday services; special music concerts, and other unique opportunities
to engage the Sacred in our midst.
